Our Story

That's how we started

Aarambh STORY

“Women Empowerment” as words are easy to use however turning this to reality is quite contrary. This is not just an action but a process. With zeal and commitment to embark on this process, Mrs Cheena Goyal, a lawyer by profession, established a charitable trust named “AARAMBH TRUST FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN” and formed a core team with Mrs. Ishpreet Sahani, Mrs. Vinu Sharma and Mrs. Fawzia Naqvi. This Fantastic Four then roped in like-minded women who associated themselves with AARAMBH’s vision. AARAMBH took the first step with contributing members & volunteers from Jasola Vihar, New Delhi only to spread its wings far and beyond.

The three pillars of AARAMBH are Belief– The world is One Family, Perseverance– constantly work with sincerity, and Commitment-to empower the underprivileged and bring them into mainstream.

The main aim of AARAMBH has been to bring positive change in lives of women and children that come from challenged socio-economic segment of our society. We aim to create power in individuals over their own lives, society, and in their communities. We believe individuals are empowered when they can access the opportunities available to them without limitations and restrictions such as in education, profession, and lifestyle. Decision-making entitlement creates a sense of empowerment. We attempt raising the status of women& children through education, raising awareness, literacy, and training and facilitate training related to self-defense.

India’s unity in diversity is a perfect example of the structure of our members, volunteers, and our actions. We celebrate all festivals, personal events, and joys together and end up working as a cohesive team.

Since the foundation of AARAMBH, we have embarked on multiple activities aligning with the vision of our Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as our contribution towards making this great country even better. On every call of our Hon Prime Minister, we have conducted various awareness campaigns in the form of Art Contests and seminars for economically challenged women & children, contributed to natural disasters like Kerala Floods, and educating about personal hygiene. We are extremely proud that in a short span, we have contributed towards uplifting about 800 girls and women by means of above actions.

We equally are committed towards another neglected segment: Orphans and neglected senior citizens. We celebrate moments of joys and celebrations, at large scale, senior citizens of Old age homes and children at orphanages.

Then came the pandemic, the COVID19! At AARAMBH, we took the initiative to educate about its seriousness and critical role of hygiene maintenance to fight this virus. Our wonderful members & volunteers emphasized the importance of Social Distancing and distributed Health-Kits containing facemask, soap, and hand-sanitizer to economically challenged women & children.

We at AARAMBH are equally conscious of our environment and contributed towards reducing global warming. We realized that plastic is bad for us hence we created a “Steel Bank” that carries steel utensils that can be borrowed for a small to medium sized function thereby reducing the use of plastic or Styrofoam based utensils making our planet greener.

In the year 2020, we at AARAMBH have:

  1. supported marriage of five girls from economically challenged families.
  2. Distributed milk at orphanages on weekly basis.
  3. Provided cooked lunch to senior citizens once a week.
  4. Sponsored groceries at Old Age Home on monthly basis.
  5. Distributed Health-Kit during COVID19 pandemic regularly.

As there is a saying, if your intent is right, you will have beautiful partners too. AARAMBH is fortunate enough to partner with organizations like RN TALKS, AYAAS PRAYAS and MUSIC FACTORY to jointly perform actions aligning to our vision.

It has been a short journey of just SIX years. This little sapling’s whose seeds were sown by four members is now turning into sheltering tree with likeminded women that are a part of this happy family. Each one is special, brave, and empowered female ready to face any challenge thrown in their way. We at AARAMBH are simply unstoppable.

We work and play hard too- We organized women’s soft ball cricket for all our members and invited every single women & child that we have touched this far making our largest gathering at a single place and few media houses were kind enough to gives us the visibility in various news channels and newspapers.

Team AARAMBH has the power to rise above any situation and deliver the best results irrespective of the circumstances. We welcome anyone that is likeminded and is motivated towards our cause.

AARAMBH is the beginning of something beautiful and it just goes on.
